The studio
We make ideas into places.
Headed North is an architecture and interior design studio working across India, with roots in Kolkata and a growing base in Hyderabad. We design homes, hospitality, workplaces, retail and other spaces that don't always fit neatly into a category.
Hospitality is our forte. It has taught us to think about design as more than a finished picture. It's about how people arrive, move, gather, work, stay, eat, pause and come back. That thinking finds its way into everything we do.
We're a young studio. We like to have fun, stay curious and keep learning. We update ourselves constantly with our tools, our thinking and the way we work. We care about the big idea and the small detail, the first sketch and the last site visit. We stay involved, work collaboratively, and take an idea seriously enough to see it through.

Concept Design
The one idea the space can't do without, translated into realistic visuals — so you see the space before it exists instead of guessing at it.

Schematic Design
Zoning, area programming and the flow of guests and staff — the layout decisions that quietly control time and cost everywhere downstream.

Detail Design
Design becomes buildable. Dimensions, materials, services and technical coordination get resolved here rather than argued about on site.

Tender Documentation
Coordinated drawings, schedules and specifications — clear enough that every contractor prices the same scope, so the numbers you get back are comparable.

Tender Management
We review submissions and advise on contractor selection, protecting design intent, quality, cost and programme before anyone breaks ground.

Construction Support
Shop drawing review and site attendance. We stay on site until the end — usually the difference between a space that photographs well and one that works on a Saturday night.

Post Completion Review
Spaces reveal themselves only once people begin using them. We come back, watch how it actually works, and refine what needs refining.
